Tarja Turunen plays The World of Dreams on 18 September 2026 at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv with the Plovdiv State Opera Orchestra. Tickets from about 41 euros on Eventim.
Why this concert matters
She is not arriving with a standard rock band. The orchestra shifts the night toward voice, arrangement and control, not a club wall of guitars.
The programme mixes solo work, Nightwish classics and adaptations of Rammstein, Linkin Park, Within Temptation and Metallica. For early Nightwish this is that voice in a room that suits it. For anyone who followed her after leaving the band, the evening is closer to her current stage than to a nostalgia tribute.
If you want metal volume, this is not the date. If you want a voice on an open historic stage, it is one of the stronger September nights.
What to expect from the set
Anchors are Sleeping Sun, Nemo, Wish I Had an Angel and solo ballads. The covers will be orchestral adaptations, not heavy club versions.
Do not expect a full 2004 Nightwish set. The hits arrive as part of a programme, not as the only reason to buy a ticket.
Practical information
A September night on stone turns cold before the end. Bring a layer. For an orchestral mix the middle seats usually beat the front row.
Septicflesh play the same venue the next day. The two nights fill the Old Town. Book a room and parking early.
